Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I buy a rug?

Our rugs are carried by many online retailers and physical stores. For a full list of places to buy, see Retailers.

Do you do custom sizes?

We don’t currently offer custom sizing on our designs, but we do offer several designs in special sizes outside of our standard sizing.

How do I clean my American Dakota rug?

Cleaning your new American Dakota rug is incredibly easy thanks to our EnduraStran fibers. Most stains and blemishes can be wiped clean with a damp rag and mild detergent. For more information on keeping your rug looking great, see Care and Cleaning Information.

I’m an artist and would like to collaborate on a project with you. How do I get in touch?

We’d love to hear from you! Visit our Contact Us form and let us know a little about you and what you’d like to work on together and we’d be happy to get in touch with you.

Why are some of your designs listed as Stores Only?

In order to maintain existing exclusivity agreements, some of our designs are only available to be sold in-store, rather than online.

What’s your minimum order requirement?

We have no minimum requirement, so if one rug is all you need, that’s fine!

How much is shipping?

The cost of shipping can vary greatly according to the distance, weight, and destination. Less metropolitan areas carry inherently greater shipping costs. However, we will always work to get you the lowest shipping cost we can.

Can you bundle rugs together and ship them as one shipment?

For orders under 5 rugs, there’s no way of bundling them. Since the manufacturing process is run by custom scheduling software via a mainframe, we don’t have the ability to run rugs in small orders at the same time. Single rugs are plotted where there are openings in daily production runs.  If your order is over 5 rugs the software runs the rugs together to be bundled for a pickup they will ship on a truck line.

Are you rugs machine washable?

Are rugs are not machine washable, but they are incredibly durable and easy to clean by hand. In most cases, all that’s required is a damp washcloth and mild detergent. For more information, see Care and Cleaning.
